Kevin Burkling is the owner & founder of Mountain Echo Sound, a professional audio company that has provided DJ services, lighting & live sound production in Tuolumne County since 2011. As a community-oriented local business owner, he has worked consistently over the past 13yrs with local organizations such as MYACT, FOAC, WATCH, ATCCA, Habitat For Humanity, Blue Zones Project & The Tuolumne County Chamber Of Commerce. Kevin is also currently employed at The Union Democrat, where he’s worked closely with other local business owners as their advertising sales representative since 2018. When he’s not out camping, hiking or kayaking with his wife & their two boys, Kevin can be found performing original music with his band Kitkit Dizzy.

With a family history here in the Mother Lode that dates back to the late 1960’s, his early experience in our community is a dynamic mix of outdoor recreation, enrollment in various school districts (Preschool – College), working for local businesses as a teenager and performing with his band(s) anywhere & everywhere that could host an all-ages audience! After 10yrs working, performing & furthering his education in Santa Cruz County (2001-2011), Kevin returned to his hometown to raise a family, start a business & continue his journey as a performing artist. He considers it a great honor to serve this community as a board member of the Sonora Chamber Of Commerce…




Katie Dunn — President

Katie Dunn has been the President of the Sonora Chamber of Commerce since 2019. She prides herself in building strong relationships with the Sonora Chamber membership, sponsors and business community organizations including Tuolumne County Arts,  the City of Sonora, and the Tuolumne County Business Council. Katie currently serves as the board chair for Visit Tuolumne County, and is a member of Blue Zones Project of Tuolumne County steering committee and as well as a member of the Community Advisory Board for Adventist Heath Sonora.
Prior to joining the Chamber, she spent a 30 year career as a Senior Advertising Account Executive for Comcast Spotlight providing video advertising solutions to her clients and advertising agencies in the Sacramento TV market.
When she’s not volunteering her time at the Sonora Chamber, you can find her snuggling with her grandson, Kayden.



Rob Hawk — Treasurer

Robert A. Hawks Jr., CPA

Rob has been assisting central California clients in a wide variety of  tax, accounting, reporting, and compliance issues since 1988.  Rob is authorized to act as an advocate and client representative before the IRS and state authorities.  Rob serves as consultant and analyst for clients including individuals, trusts, estates, corporations, partnerships, S-corporations, LLC’s, LLP’s, and non-profit organizations. Rob particularly enjoys the role of objective commentator when functioning as an internal auditor, expert witness, or business consultant.

Rob spent 10 years at a respected CPA firm in Modesto; 4 years as the partner responsible for the firm’s tax Quality Assurance process where every tax return produced by the 21 person office went through Rob before delivery.  Rob’s work experience also includes serving as CFO for Premiera Care, the parent company of Dale Commons and other locations. The chain of facilities was sold in a $72 million deal closing in 2011.




Jen Lopez — Secretary

Jen has lived in Sonora and has worked at Visit Tuolumne County since March 2016. Having grown up in the Sacramento River Delta but having spent most of her childhood vacations and weekends in Tuolumne County, this area holds a special place in her heart, and she loves promoting it as a destination for others to come, experience and make their own lasting memories.
