Katie Dunn — President

Katie Dunn is the Executive Director of the Sonora Chamber of Commerce, where she works to promote local businesses, strengthen community partnerships, and create events that enhance the quality of life in the greater Sonora area. She is leading the return of the Sonora All-American Soap Box Derby, a historic youth event that combines STEM education, teamwork, creativity, and community involvement.

Katie retired in 2019 after a successful 30-year career with Comcast, where she served as a Senior Account Executive selling television advertising throughout the Sacramento market. She joined the Sonora Chamber of Commerce as a Board Member in 2012, was elected Board President in 2019, and in April 2026 accepted the role of Executive Director.

In addition to her role with the Chamber, Katie serves on the Visit Tuolumne County Board of Directors, the Tuolumne County Arts Board of Directors, and the Adventist Health Sonora Community Advisory Board. She is passionate about building community and creating opportunities that inspire young people, support local businesses, and foster collaboration among organizations. Through initiatives like the Sonora All-American Soap Box Derby, Katie is committed to creating experiences that educate, engage, and strengthen the community for generations to come.




Rob Hawk — Treasurer

Robert A. Hawks Jr., CPA

Rob has been assisting central California clients in a wide variety of  tax, accounting, reporting, and compliance issues since 1988.  Rob is authorized to act as an advocate and client representative before the IRS and state authorities.  Rob serves as consultant and analyst for clients including individuals, trusts, estates, corporations, partnerships, S-corporations, LLC’s, LLP’s, and non-profit organizations. Rob particularly enjoys the role of objective commentator when functioning as an internal auditor, expert witness, or business consultant.

Rob spent 10 years at a respected CPA firm in Modesto; 4 years as the partner responsible for the firm’s tax Quality Assurance process where every tax return produced by the 21 person office went through Rob before delivery.  Rob’s work experience also includes serving as CFO for Premiera Care, the parent company of Dale Commons and other locations. The chain of facilities was sold in a $72 million deal closing in 2011.

Jen has lived in Sonora and has worked at Visit Tuolumne County since March 2016. Having grown up in the Sacramento River Delta but having spent most of her childhood vacations and weekends in Tuolumne County, this area holds a special place in her heart, and she loves promoting it as a destination for others to come, experience and make their own lasting memories.
